Meet John Holloway, Vice President of Infrastructure and Security
With over 25 years of experience in IT infrastructure, operations and security, John Holloway is the perfect fit for our technology team. In his role as the Vice President of Infrastructure and Security, John is responsible for infrastructure, managing all application server platforms, connectivity and resource availability across the entire family of Phoenix Innovate (PI) companies.
Prior to joining PI in the fall of 2022, John held leadership roles at multiple organizations, including a stint as the vice president of technology at a commercial real estate company.
“I’m truly honored for the opportunity to work with PI at such an exciting time,” John said upon joining the PI team. “I’m committed to helping the organization in its continued pursuit of success!”
Kirk Vercnocke, CEO of Phoenix Innovate, said John is an outstanding asset to the technology team.
“John’s natural ability to communicate, along with his sincere dedication and knowledge to optimizing and securing our IT infrastructure, made him the perfect choice for this role,” Vercnocke said. “Security is of the utmost importance to our team, and our clients ultimately reap the benefits of our technology optimization and integration efforts.”
John takes a holistic approach in reviewing the infrastructure for all Phoenix Innovate products and solutions.
“John’s commitment to learning and growing makes him the ideal candidate to step into PI’s rapidly growing and changing IT environment,” said Michael Spalding, PI's EVP COO/CTO, shortly after John began working at PI.
John has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Walsh College and has received seven technical and security certifications.
When he isn’t at work, John can be found rooting for Michigan’s sports teams — especially the Detroit Lions. He also enjoys spending time with his wife of over 25 years, Kari, and their four children: Zachary, Jacob, Samuel and Anna. Additionally, John and Kari co-direct the Upward Sports Ministry youth flag football and cheerleading league at Christ Church Fraser, and they just completed their 12th season!
